Love it or hate it, one undoubtedly cannot talk about Celebrity Owned and Endorsed Champagne Brands without mentioning probably the most well-known celeb-owned champagne of all, Armand de Brignac, owned by mogul and hip-hop artist Shawn Carter, a.k.a. Jay-Z.
Champagne conjures up images of celebration, fun, happiness … but beware, it can also be a dangerous thing.

So many articles on Champagne, start with the supposed words uttered by Dom Pérignon when he apparently ‘invented’ Champagne … “Come quickly, I’m tasting the stars” … This is such a clichéd statement, that when I come across an article that starts off like this, I generally stop reading.

Of course size matters. No one wants a small …. glass of Champagne.
Champagne comes in quite a range of bottle sizes, from the itty bitty Piccolo of 187,5ml (also sometimes referred to as a Quarter or Split), right up to the biggest one of all, the incredibly rare Melchizedek (or Midas) which holds 30lt of Champagne, or the equivalent of 40 standard bottles. And there’s nothing quite as decadent as drinking Champagne from a large-format bottle.
I love a quirky Champagne quote … and there have been some fabulous quotes from novelists to screen stars to celebrities and even historical figures in Champagne. Here’s a pick of some of my favourites.

Champagne has featured prominently in the movies for decades and I get pretty excited when I see a movie star drinking one of my favourites, trying to spot the label, and maybe even the vintage.
The vineyards of Champagne, situated about 160km east of Paris, span an area of 33,500 hectares around 319 villages.
