Champagne-Themed Furniture and Accessories

The start of a new year somehow always puts me in the mood to re-decorate or re-arrange rooms and furniture and I absolutely love adding champagne-themed furniture and accessories to my décor as it brings such a fun, quirky element to any room.

Probably my coolest find this year, was a store near where I live in the southern suburbs of Cape Town, called The Hideaway.  They stock really cool champagne-themed furniture such as cork-topped muselet tables, chairs and counter stools.  They are quite well-priced and even if you don’t have a dedicated bar or cellar, the table will make a fabulous side table, or if you’re wanting a completely different coffee table look, group together a trio of the table, chair and stool, it will look totally unique.

They also stock framed printed canvas art, champagne coolers, rustic champagne storage crates, riddling racks, champagne bottle candles and champagne sabres.

You’ll find The Hideaway at 47 Berkley Road, Ndabeni, Cape Town, but if you can’t get to their store, they do ship countrywide and you can email catherine.davies@live.co.za for all the info on this.  Have a look at their Facebook  and Instagram  for more inspo.

If you love the look of the champagne muselet tables and chairs, but you’re not in South Africa, fear not … I have found a UK company called XL Cork  and they have quite a range of champagne cork tables and stools.

XL Cork is the supplier of the original Giant Champagne Cork Stool, I have some of their products and the quality is absolutely superb.  They have quite a range … giant stools, champagne cork tables, muselet stools, champagne cork door stops, cork shaped ice buckets, and more … have a look at their website  to see their entire product range.

XL Cork have a number of stockists across the UK and Europe and they also have stockists in the U.S. and Australia, and you can find them all here.  If you can’t find a stockist in your area, don’t worry, they ship WORLDWIDE.  Have a look at their Facebook  and Instagram  for some ideas and if you have any questions, drop them a mail at info@xlcork.com.

Probably the quickest and easiest way to update a room is with a few champagne-quote scatters and if you just google, you will find so many available … from the cheapest of cheap at Wish.com, to quite possibly any quote and colour you can think of at Society6, to beautiful embroidered velvet cushions from Ted Baker.

I bought this cushion cover above from Wish.com and yes, the quality is not the greatest, it’s not the most user friendly site to navigate and orders take forever to arrive, but they are cheap as chips and an easy way to add some fun.

Fit & Flirty  have an amazing range of champagne quote items, and although they specialize in athleisure wear,  you will find these gorgeous cushions pictured below, as well as other home decor items, on their website.

Society6  is another website where you can find a great range of champagne quote cushions, again not the easiest site to navigate, but if you’re patient, you will find some gems.

And one that’s been on my wishlist for a while is this embroidered velvet beauty from Ted Baker.  Available on various online sites and stores, if you google it should pop up.

Another quick and easy way to update any room is with champagne art, and if you don’t feel like splurging on original art, a vintage champagne poster makes a good alternative.  Have a look at Art.com, they have literally hundreds on their website and I love that on most of their pieces, they offer the option of poster only, or printed on canvas or framed.

And if you really don’t want to go to all this effort, just pop a few champagne candles around your home to set the mood.  There’s quite a variety available at various stockists, again just google and those near you should pop up.  Some great ones below.

Of course my absolute favorite candles are recycled champagne bottle candles, and there are many crafters repurposing bottles and selling these, have a look on sites like Etsy and eBay, or if you’re feeling particularly inspired get yourself a DIY bottle cutting kit online and make your own.

I am definitely going to be doing some re-decorating early in the new year and can’t wait to show you some more of my finds and discoveries.
