The Motherload of Gifts … Part 3

If you haven’t managed to find a gift that inspires you in Part 1 or Part 2, we’re going to have to pull out the big guns … but be warned, you may have to sell an organ.

You know the saying, Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend … and this magnificent piece is from Geay Joailliers in Reims.  Crafted in yellow and white gold set with 1,38ct white diamonds and 0,53ct yellow diamonds, this beauty is going to set you back €13,200.  Oh, and that excludes the chain.

Heading out for a picnic with a champagne friend, you need to ensure your champagne travels in style.  Obviously, you’re going to need this Louis Vuitton Monogram Champagne Case.  You can bag it for just over $25,000.

For someone who loves beautiful flutes, you simply cannot go wrong with a gift from Baccarat.  They have some lovely ones on their website, but they have cleverly designed the Bubble Box, which contains 6 flutes, one of each of their most iconic designs.  A snip at €895.

——-

And what would the ultimate gift for someone champagne obsessed be?  Champagne of course.  And if you want to pull out all the stops, how about the most expensive champagne bottle in the world …

It can be yours for $ 2.07 million … didn’t I tell you you might need to sell an organ (or 3).

Goût de Diamants is produced by Champagne Chapuy in Oger for Shammi Shinh, founder of Knightsbridge-based Prodiguer Brands.  Made from 100% Grands Crus grapes, each bottle is adorned with a brilliant cut Swarovski crystal in the centre of a diamond-shaped pewter design resembling the Superman logo.  It won “best taste” in 2012 according to Champagne Business News, and this edition will cost you about $200.

But we don’t want this edition, we want the $2 million limited edition by high-end luxury designer Alexander Amosu, where the Superman-style signature logo is handcrafted in 18-carat solid gold, and a flawless, deep-cut 19 ct white diamond replaces the Swarovski crystal.

Sticking with champagne for a champagne friend … how about a bottle of  ’59 Dom Pérignon Rosé?  I’ll take 2 thanks.

It will set you back about $ 42,000 but that’s not the problem, you would be extremely fortunate to find one as only about 300 bottles were produced and they were never officially sold.  I’ll still take 2 thanks.

If you are looking for the ultimate gift for a Veuve Clicquot champagne lover … look no further than Veuve’s Porsche-designed champagne cooler.

This enormous stainless steel champagne cooler stands over 2m tall, has 12 individually lit compartments that each hold a magnum of Veuve Clicquot that is kept at a constant 12°C.  Only 15 were produced and they sold for $ 70,000 a piece.

And there you have it, the Motherload of champagne inspired gifts for anyone who loves champagne.  More gifts in The Motherload of Gifts Part 1 and Part 2.  If you can’t find anything here, you’re on your own baby.
