The Only Beach Hat You’ll Ever Need

(Image: twobakedbuns.com)

Our weather has turned and it’s getting chilly and all I can dream about is an island holiday somewhere exotic.  And if you’re with me, I have found the perfect beach hat for you, in fact it’s the only beach hat you’ll ever need.

Think big, floppy and uber stylish … just pop on a pair of dark sunnies and you have yourself a Jackie O look. Add a glass of Champagne, a sun lounger under a palm tree and you never need to move.

Sorry, I’m getting side tracked … back to the hats.  For my South African Champagne Sisters, I have found these amazing ones from Elizabeth Summer Accessories.  They have a variety of beach hat styles and you can personalise them with your own Champagne quote or wording.  I have 2 of them, and I take them with whenever I travel.  And before you ask how the hell I get such a big hat in my suitcase, I’ll tell you about that later.

The gorgeous Champagne Chick one is their Plett hat in Ivory.  The Champagne Please one is the Madagascar hat in natural and it’s a bit smaller than the Plett hat.  They come in a variety of colours and you can customise with your own sequins colour as well.

For the rest of my Champagne Sisters around the globe, I have found similar hats from Two Baked Buns.  They’re based in the US, but ship worldwide.

They also have a variety of beach hats available in various colours with a selection of personalisation options, colour schemes, and sequins colours.  The possibilities are endless.

Trust me when I say, this is the only beach hat you’ll ever need for your holiday travel again.  And I know you want to know how to safely travel with your fabulous hat.  You can either take it as carry on and hope that no one crushes it in the overhead storage, or you can simply pop it in your suitcase.  Did I hear you gasp?  I’m serious, it’s pretty simple and I found these piccies on blog.houseoffraser.co.uk to show you exactly how it’s done.

After you’ve packed a few layers of clothing in the bottom of your suitcase, pop in your hat upside down.  Fill the inside with some of your clothing, the tighter you pack it in the better the hat will keep it’s shape.  Pack some more items below the rim area of your hat so that it is level to keep it from moving around.  From there you can just continue packing as normal and voilà … perfect travelling hat.

Oh, and while your living la belle vie, have a glass of Champagne for me.
